She chose to remain in London however, and freelanced with orchestras such as the London Philharmonic, Philharmonia, London Mozart Players, Orchestra of St Johns Smith Square,City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Bournemouth Sinfonietta, Glyndebourne Touring Opera and Chamber Orchestra of Europe. Louise enjoyed working with many fine conductors including Sir Georg Solti, Sir Bernhard Haitink, Sir Simon Rattle and Klaus Tennstedt to name but a few. Louise has also been very active in the field of chamber music, having performed in this capacity for BBC Radio 3 and BBC TV.

Since moving to Scotland in 1994 with her husband (and now three children) she has worked with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and Scottish Opera, in addition to giving a number of solo recitals. Louise is also
a composer and arranger, citing traditional Scottish and Renaissance choral music among
her influences. Recent works include the large scale Millenium Gloria for two choirs and instrumentalists, and Gradh Trinir for piano trio. In addition to her commitments as a performer and composer, Louise is currently visiting tutor of flute at Lomond School in Helensburgh.
