Trio Burnsteeg has developed an innovative series of themed recital programmes, exploring some of the most attractive music for soprano, flute and piano trio. The ensemble's repertoire incorporates music from the baroque to the contemporary, and also includes duo works for flute-piano, voice-piano and flute-voice. Concerts can be designed to fit hour-long "lunchtime" slots, or larger scale events with interval.

Paris Salon
A fascinating programme of Parisian music from the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries. The famous salons of the French capital were a hive of social, political and artistic discussion – meetings of minds seeing numerous first performances of works from the finest composers of the day. Music by Poulenc, Fauré and Cecile Chaminade.

Women in Art
A celebration of female composers and poets, with music ranging from the first half of the Nineteenth Century to the present day. American composer Lori Laitman’s setting of Orlando Gibbons’ famous The Silver Swan, sits alongside songs by Fanny Mendelssohn and Clara Schumann, while André Previn’s luscious Two Remembrances for voice, alto flute and piano are based on the tender words of German poetesses Frau Ava and Else Lasker-Schüller.

Trios for Flute, Soprano and Piano
An exciting voyage of discovery through the repertoire of music for flute, soprano and piano. Trio songs by Massenet, Saint-Saëns and Amy Beach are programmed next to works from the Baroque, including Handel’s fleet-footed German Arias.

America!
This concert is an entirely American affair, with flute-piano and voice-piano duos by Samuel Barber and Aaron Copland, as well as a number of attractive works for trio by Bernstein, Beach and international chamber music impresario Charles Wadsworth. Settings of Irish folksongs by John Corigliano provide a rare and beautiful opportunity for flautist and soprano to perform alone.

European Tour
Several destinations are visited on this journey around Europe, with music ranging from Irish folksongs and reminiscences of Scotland, to song cycles of France and Germany. High points are a sparkling Italian Baroque cantata for flute, soprano and piano, and Ravel's famous Five Greek Popular Songs.
